Which airflow analysis algorithm does Airflow Analyst use?
Airflow Analyst uses a non-stationary/non-linear turbulence model called LES (Large Eddy Simulation). This solver uses RC-GIS, which was developed by Associate Professor Uchida from Kyushu University’s Research Institute for Applied Mechanics. This solver is capable of creating highly accurate fluid simulations on a generic PC within practical timescales.
Do you have any documentation showing the test results for the software’s estimated accuracy?
There are many studies that show that the solver’s estimated results are consistent, to a high level of accuracy, with physical wind tunnel experiments. The accuracy test result papers for the RIAM-COMPACT®, which is the same calculation algorithm as RC-GIS, can be viewed from the references.
